Riviera to showcase three inspiring luxury designs at Norwalk Boat Show in Connecticut
Australia’s favorite and most awarded luxury yacht builder Riviera will showcase its hallmark ethos of excellence in a superb display of three world-class motor yacht designs at the upcoming Norwalk Boat Show (22-25 September 2016).
In conjunction with dedicated Riviera and Belize dealer Grande Yachts International, the marque will present two models of premium craftsmanship and design from its supremely stylish Sport Yacht collection – the very popular 5400 and 3600 designs – as well as the elegant 54 Daybridge from its timelessly classic Belize Motor Yachts range.
US-based international sales director Chris McCafferty said Riviera is synonymous on an international scale with hallmark luxury, innovation, blue-water sea-keeping capability and superior owner enjoyment.

Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht – on display
The 5400 Sport Yacht – launched in Miami in 2016 – has certainly impressed boat show visitors around the world who are praising the superiority of Riviera’s design and hand-crafted finishes. “The three-stateroom, two-bathroom 5400 model is an inspiring evolution of the luxury single-level living design for which Riviera’s Sport Yacht series is highly awarded,” said Mr McCafferty.
“The 5400 Sport Yacht is very popular with those who love the fresh air and sunshine with so many spaces onboard to enjoy your time on the water,” he said. “The forward deck features a cushioned and upholstered sun lounge and, in the cockpit, a sunroof slides open at the touch of a button so you can also enjoy the sunshine out of the wind from the convertible day bed.
“This is a true entertainer’s cockpit and it flows freely through to the aft gourmet galley and spacious salon courtesy of a large awning window that is set in a strong ship-like stainless steel frame – it opens out and places the chef right in the center of the social scene. “Her accommodation deck features a luxurious full-beam master stateroom with ensuite, a spacious VIP guest stateroom forward and the option for either a portside guest stateroom or an accommodation atrium lounge – it’s all a matter of individual choice.”
The sports-inspired centerline helm console of the 5400 Sport Yacht has excellent visibility and ergonomics so that all critical navigation electronics, comprehensive engine instrumentation and vessel controls are within easy reach of the central, deluxe Recaro electric-adjusting helm seat. Here, you’ll be impressed by easy-to-use technology including Volvo Penta’s Glass Cockpit navigation and systems monitoring system that is integrated with two joysticks – one at the helm and one in her cockpit.
Base power for the 5400 is the Volvo Penta D11-IPS800 propulsion system with twin D11 engines and IPS20 pod-drives (2 x 441kW/626hp), which have a Class 4 commercial rating. Owners have the option of the D11-IPS950 system featuring twin D11 engines and IPS20 pod-drives (2 x 533kW/725hp) and their Class 5 commercial rating assures enhanced reliability, even with high use.
Riviera 3600 Sport Yacht – on display

The 3600 Sport Yacht features Riviera’s hallmark rear awning window – set in a strong stainless steel frame – between the cockpit and the stylish salon that creates the ultimate indoor/outdoor experience. “Accommodation for the Riviera 3600 comprises a master stateroom forward with a large island bed and an aft full-beam guest cabin with a double and single bed, catering for up to five adults on the lower deck,” says Mr McCafferty.
“The 3600 Sport Yacht features Volvo Penta’s D4-IPS400 system with twin D4 diesel engines and IPS10 pod-drives, which have a commercial rating of Class 5. A joystick ensures easy maneuverability, enabling a skipper to simply push and twist the joystick in the required direction to make the yacht respond immediately, pivoting in place or tracking sideways into a berth that’s just long enough to fit the yacht.”
Belize 54 Daybridge – on display
The distinctive Belize 54 Daybridge from Riviera is inspired by timeless design and integrates Australian practicality and superior offshore performance with the latest in technological innovation.
“Her sophisticated styling, opulent interior, clever storage concepts and proven, sea-kindly hull really do set Belize apart,” said Mr McCafferty.

The Belize 54 Daybridge now offers owners the choice of Volvo Penta’s D11-IPS800 system with twin D11 diesel engines and IPS20 pod-drives (2 x 460kW/626hp) or the D11-IPS950 system with twin D11 diesel engines and IPS20 pod-drive units (2 x 533kW/725hp), which have respective Class 4 and 5 commercial ratings to assure enhanced reliability. Each Belize 54 Daybridge propulsion option offers innovative glass bridge navigation and monitoring features as well as three joysticks – at the main helm, at the daybridge helm and in the cockpit on the portside.
