Riviera Festival of Fun & Learning
Riviera festival of fun and learning
The dates are now set for the 4th annual Riviera Festival of Boating so mark 21-24 May 2015 in your diary to experience a truly unique event that will once again bring together our global family of owners and enthusiasts and assist them in achieving ‘the ultimate boating experience’.
With over 70 educational seminars, practical workshops and social events over four days, the Festival is always popular with those looking for practical knowledge and skills development – from the fundamentals of anchoring, line-tying, charting a journey and handling boats in challenging conditions, right through to harnessing the full power of the latest technology and advanced marine navigation systems aboard our new Riviera and Belize models.
The Festival is part of Riviera’s commitment to helping people to stretch their sea legs and experience the pleasure of blue water cruising – it is about building confidence so our global family of owners are able to use their boats to their full potential.
We realise that, in this respect, knowledge truly is power.
But the Festival is also far more than that – it is a chance to inspect our latest luxurious range of Riviera and Belize yachts at a red-carpet on-water showcase. And it is an opportunity for people from around the world to come to Australia’s Gold Coast and catch up with friends, to share experiences … and to plan new adventures.
We are very excited by the fact that this year’s ‘ultimate boating event’ will be a little different – the Festival dates are shared with both the burgeoning Gold Coast International Marine Expo and the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, creating four fantastic days on the Gold Coast and an even more compelling reason to visit and stay a little longer and perhaps enjoy a round of golf, the Blues on Broadbeach music festival or the excitement of the Magic Millions National Weanling and Broodmare sales.
The Riviera Festival of Boating itself will be held within the confines of our state-of-the-art factory at Coomera on Australia’s Gold Coast where our 430 dedicated designers, engineers and master craftspeople create the finest luxury yachts in the world.
We will be conducting our popular Riviera factory tours via train ride or air-conditioned coach with a full narration following step-by-step all aspects of our legendary boat-building – from lamination through to electrical and engineering, and right through to final fit-out.
This year’s gala social events include a Friday night red carpet cocktail party under the stars and a Saturday night gala dinner and show – the R Factor. Further social events will be announced on January 29 … and would love to see you there too.
We have moved the Festival to within the production facility to enable the not-for-profit Gold Coast International Marine Expo – one that is growing in both stature and importance within the marine industry – to be staged across the remainder of the Riviera site, in addition to other key locations throughout the Gold Coast Marine Precinct, home to the biggest pleasure boat shipyards in Australia.
Riviera owners will have free VIP parking outside the Festival and the Expo, with free water transport between the waterfront sites at The Boat Works, Riviera and the Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard as well as courtesy buses along Waterway Drive that will also take in Quintrex and Stefan Boating World.
The Expo and the Riviera Festival of Boating are very accessible for both visitors and exhibitors, with two dedicated exits from the M1 Motorway (Exit 54 – 3.3km/4mins and Exit 57 – 4km/5mins), and two different roads leading into the precinct (Shipper Drive and Beattie Road). Shuttle buses will also operate from Coomera Railway Station (2.7km/3mins).
Expo is a massive showcase of all things aquatic – from super yachts to kayaks, jet skis to fishing equipment … and everything in between, creating much more for Festival-goers to see and experience with family and boating friends.
See you at the Festival and please feel free to bring your family and friends and those who you like to boat with the most.
