Two New Zealand Premieres from Riviera at Auckland On Water Boat Show
Australia’s favourite and most awarded luxury yacht builder Riviera will present two alluring new examples of superior design and craftsmanship when it rolls out the red carpet to welcome visitors to the Auckland On Water Boat Show (29 September – 2 October 2016).
The renowned marque’s luxury showcase at Viaduct Harbour – to be staged in conjunction with Auckland’s Riviera and Belize dealer R Marine Flagship – will feature the New Zealand Premieres of the stylish Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht and the supremely seaworthy Riviera 52 Enclosed Flybridge. R Marine Flagship director Liam Power said the 5400 Sport Yacht is very popular with those who love the fresh air and sunshine. “There are so many spaces to enjoy being outdoors – from the forward deck sun lounge to the cockpit where the sunroof slides open at the touch of a button so you can also enjoy the convertible day bed out of the wind,” he said.
“This true entertainer’s cockpit flows freely through to the aft gourmet galley and spacious saloon courtesy of a large awning window, set in a strong stainless steel frame, that opens out and places the chef at the center of the social scene.
“Her accommodation deck features a luxurious full-beam master stateroom with en suite, a spacious VIP guest stateroom forward and the option for either a port guest stateroom or an an accommodation atrium lounge – it’s all a matter of individual choice.”
The sports-inspired center-line helm console of the 5400 Sport Yacht has excellent visibility and ergonomics so that all critical navigation electronics, comprehensive engine instrumentation and vessel controls are within easy reach of the central, deluxe Recaro electric-adjusting helm seat.
Here, you’ll be impressed by easy-to-use technology including the easy-boating features of Volvo Penta’s Glass Cockpit navigation and systems monitoring system which is integrated with two joysticks, one at the helm and one in her cockpit.
Base power for the 5400 is the Volvo Penta D11-IPS800 propulsion system with twin D11 engines and IPS20 pod-drives (2 x 441kW/626hp). Owners have the option of the D11-IPS950 system featuring twin D11 engines and IPS20 pod-drives (2 x 533kW/725hp). With commercial ratings of Class 4 and Class 5 respectively, these systems assure enhanced reliability, even for high-use.
Riviera 52 Enclosed Flybridge – The Future Is Now
The new 52 Enclosed Flybridge is testament to Riviera’s commitment to being amongst the leading motor yacht builders in the world. “The 52 Enclosed has a clever new cockpit layout as well as a superbly equipped aft galley that openly connects the spacious saloon to the alfresco space via the large awning window and sliding glass door, each of which are set in a strong stainless steel frame to reinforce the ship-like qualities of every Riviera luxury motor yacht,” said Mr Power.
“On the foredeck you have the option to either store your tender or have a large sun pad so you can work on your tan or just simply relax and refresh,” he said. “The accommodation deck is a three-stateroom/two-bathroom accommodation design that sleeps six adults, with the choice for the superbly appointed master able to be located forward or aft on the port. “The 52’s flybridge – enclosed on three sides so you can extend your boating season and range – is a complete revelation in terms of comfort and you have the option of a fully electric sunroof to draw in extra sunshine and fresh air when desired. The modern command console and dash has enough room for three 17-inch screens and the helm’s electronics integrate seamlessly with the innovative and easy-boating navigation and systems monitoring features of Volvo Penta’s Glass Cockpit that are making boating even easier and more enjoyable.
“Powered by Volvo Penta’s D11-IPS950 system with D11 engines and IPS20 pod-drives (2 x 725hp/533kW) – which have a Class 5 commercial rating – the 52 Enclosed Flybridge has joysticks at the helm and in the cockpit for easy docking, even in tight quarters. “There’s also the option of an aft flybridge tournament station, if desired.”
