Five stunning examples of Riviera and Belize Yachts’ on-water excellence announced for Mandurah Boat Show
Riviera Australia, in partnership with its two West Australian dealers, is preparing to roll out the red carpet for a spectacular $AUD7 million showcase of on-water excellence at Western Australia’s biggest boat show of the year from 9-11 October 2015.
Riviera chairman and owner Rodney Longhurst says the 2015 Australian Marine Industry Exporter of the Year’s impressive line-up of five luxury motor yachts for Mandurah Boat Show will reflect the marque’s unparalleled passion for excellence in all areas of design, technology, performance and luxury livability.
And there will be a special evening of Riviera-style celebration too, organized by the R Marine Mandurah and R Marine Perth dealerships.
“Riviera’s Mandurah showcase this year will feature the stylish and sophisticated Riviera 6000 and 3600 Sport Yachts, the sporty and adventurous 525 SUV and the very versatile 445 SUV and the timelessly classic Belize 54 Daybridge– all representative of our hallmark luxury, innovation, blue-water sea-keeping capability and unrivaled owner support,” said Mr Longhurst.
“We are extremely excited by the opportunity to present these luxurious motor yachts to members of the growing West Australian Riviera family and boating aficionados who play such a fun and active role among our global family of almost 5200 loyal owners,” he said.
The current Riviera and Belize range spans 17 individual models from five very distinct model collections catering to an extremely wide range of boating pursuits.
Mr Longhurst says the support of Riviera and Belize owners, and aspiring owners, around the globe inspires the 480-strong Riviera team based at Coomera on Queensland’s Gold Coast to continue to strive to produce the best Rivieras ever. “We have a superb new model development program here at Riviera and we are in the process of recruiting more new team members to implement a new, fifth manufacturing line to meet the growing needs of our enthusiastic clients,” he said. “We really value the fact that our owners tell us there’s nothing quite like owning a Riviera or Belize – it reinforces our commitment to create for them ‘the ultimate boating experience’.”
Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht – Stylish and sophisticated
In just 12 months, the Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht has proven extremely popular worldwide, with over 20 new models purchased by boating aficionados who appreciate Riviera’s unique blending of legendary blue-water performance with thoughtful and luxurious entertaining and lifestyle features.
The supremely comfortable 6000 Sport Yacht is indeed ‘the ultimate entertainer’ – a high-performance vessel akin to a six-star luxury resort, with a clever alfresco lifestyle design, ultramodern technology and palatial appointments. She has contemporary and stylish hull windows and portholes, a large open cockpit with BBQ center and undercover seating and dining areas, electric sliding sunroofs in the saloon and cockpit, fixed saloon skylights over the galley and very impressive sports-inspired helm.
The fully flexible accommodation design of the 6000 Sport Yacht provides two options for the master stateroom, allowing a total of four staterooms or three with an even more expansive and luxurious private retreat for owners in the full-beam master stateroom, along with additional storage and a new casual dining and sitting area.
Each design is complemented by the level of opulence in the master ensuite. In the presidential design, the master ensuite – one of three bathrooms on-board – is located forward. In this same space, there are versatile options for a teenager’s retreat, office space, lower galley or fourth stateroom.
For the 6000 Sport Yacht, Riviera has employed glass bridge navigation as well as the revolutionary Volvo Penta propulsion system with twin IPS2-950 (533kW/725hp x 2) pod drives and D11 engines which, in addition to two joysticks – one at the helm and the second in the cockpit – offering superior handling and maneuvering in tight quarters, also features impressive fuel efficiency, low noise levels, long cruising range and a high top-end speed.
The 6000 Sport Yacht from Australia’s Riviera – with long-range 3300-litre fuel tanks now standard – has a cruising range of approximately 401 nautical miles at 22.9 knots with 10 per cent reserve, depending on load and sea conditions.
Riviera 525 SUV – Sporty and adventurous
The very popular SUV crossover collection from Riviera – offering 445, 525 and 575 models – is the perfect pairing of two legendary designs, each with its own formidable pedigree. The SUV design combines the high-performance, blue-water cruising and fish-raising abilities of the supremely seaworthy Riviera Flybridge yachts with the single-level leisurely entertaining features of the very popular Sport Yacht series.
Key features of the three-stateroom/two bathroom Riviera 525 SUV include double transom doors that create an island barbecue and storage centre aft of an already expansive, 106.6 square feet (9.90m2) Flybridge-scale cockpit, an awning window that opens out and over the cockpit to create a free-flowing space from the forward helm through to the rear boarding platform as well as panoramic sliding saloon windows, huge curved glass windscreen and two electric sliding sunroofs.
All critical navigation electronics, comprehensive engine instrumentation and vessel controls are within easy reach of two leather Navigator helm seats at the 525’s sports-inspired command console which has the very latest in marine technology, including the intuitive C-Zone digital switching system that is now a key feature of every new Riviera built, as well as joystick control for slow-speed maneuvering. There is an additional joystick located in the cockpit to aid with precise docking.
Popular power in the 525 SUV is the new-generation twin Volvo IPS 800s (441kW/600hp x 2) pod drives with D11 engines which achieve a cruising range of approximately 355 nautical miles at 23.9 knots, with 10 per cent fuel reserve depending on load and sea conditions.
Riviera 445 SUV - Very Versatile
The 445 SUV model offers myriad options to suit specific boating requirements – from recreational cruising and luxury entertaining to serious deep-sea fishing. Key features include an 11.42m2 (122.9ft2) Flybridge-scale cockpit with massive side lockers/fish bins, an aft-facing mezzanine lounge with storage to starboard, an awning window that opens to the cockpit to create a free-flowing space from the forward helm, past the aft galley through to the large rear boarding platform.
The saloon is both elegant and practical with starboard U-shaped premium leather lounge encompassing hi-lo-dining table that folds and lowers to become a coffee table, or extra bed, complementing those on the accommodation deck, where the master stateroom forward features a queen-sized island bed and ensuite bathroom.
The full-beam guest aft stateroom features three adult-sized beds, two of which can slide together to create a double. This stateroom has private access to the second bathroom as a true ensuite, or can be closed off to allow this bathroom to serve as the day head.
The 445 SUV also features the very latest in marine navigation and onboard systems technology, including digital switching, simplistic joystick maneuverability and incredible fuel economy and with popular power of twin Volvo Penta IPS2-600 (320kW/435hp x 2) pod drives with D6 engines, has a cruising range of 339 nautical miles at 26.7 knots with 10 per cent fuel reserve, depending on load and sea conditions.
“To date an impressive 90 sporty and adventurous SUV models have been launched from the three-model range from the world-class Riviera facility on Australia’s Gold Coast,” said Mr Longhurst.
“The growing number of Riviera SUV owners around the world tell us it’s like having two boats … in one.”
Riviera 3600 Sport Yacht - Functional and fashionable
The 3600 Sport Yacht epitomises easy living and an idyllic environment to share leisure time with family and friends, featuring Riviera’s hallmark large rear awning window between the cockpit and the stylish saloon and gourmet galley creating the ultimate indoor-outdoor experience.
Accommodation for the Riviera 3600 consists of a master stateroom with a large island bed and full-beam guest stateroom with a double and single bed, catering for up to five adults on the spacious and luxurious lower deck and confirming she is every inch a Riviera.
The 3600 Sport Yacht is powered by twin IPS2-400 with D4 engines and pod drives (224kW/300ho x 2) featuring easy joystick maneuverability and achieving a cruising range of 212nm at 29.8 knots, with 10 per cent fuel reserve, depending on load and sea conditions.
Belize 54 Daybridge - A totally new tradition in motor yachts
Also on display in Mandurah will be the distinctive Belize 54 Daybridge, inspired by timeless design and incorporating Australian practicality and superior sea-keeping with the latest in technological innovation from around the globe. Her sophisticated styling, opulent interior, clever storage concepts and high-performance hull are key attributes that sets Belize apart.
“The 54 Daybridge – with large tender garage under the cockpit as well as three staterooms including full beam master and two bathrooms – has the ability to transfix an entire bay of modern craft when she glides in,” said Mr Longhurst. “She was designed to cater for the growing affection for high-end luxury motor yachts that boast an nostalgic design, blending traditional elegance with the latest in marine technology.”
The Belize 54 Daybridge now offers owners the choice of either twin Volvo Penta IPS 800 (460kW/626hp) or IPS 950 (533kW/725hp) pod drives or twin Cummins Zeus 600 (442kW/600hp) pod drives – each with glass bridge navigation features and amazing joystick manoeuvrability.
Indeed a skipper – either solo or with a novice crew – can simply push and twist the joystick in the required direction to make the yacht respond immediately, pivoting in place or tracking sideways into a berth that’s just long enough to fit the vessel. The Belize 54 Daybridge has three joysticks – at the main helm, at the daybridge helm and in the cockpit on the port-side.
Mr Longhurst also said all Riviera and Belize luxury motor yachts feature designed-in, convenient access to every key maintenance point, ensuring future service costs and maintenance are kept to a minimum.
“Of course, this thoughtful, built-to-last consideration for our Riviera family of owners is yet another example of our ethos of doing all we can to help our valued owners achieve … ‘the ultimate boating experience’,” he said.
