Enrich your luxury on-water lifestyle with Riviera at Dubai International Boat Show
Highly awarded luxury motor yacht builder Riviera has announced three inspiring examples of on-water excellence for this year’s Dubai International Boat Show – the largest marine luxury, leisure and lifestyle event in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Francesco Pitea of SF Yachts, the marque’s dedicated dealer based in the United Arab Emirates, says Riviera is synonymous on an international scale with hallmark luxury, innovation, blue-water sea-keeping capability and superior owner enjoyment.
“Riviera is driven to enhance the fun and fulfillment of its global family of discerning luxury motor yacht owners and also those aspiring to take the helm,” says Mr Pitea.
“Our stunning on-water display at Dubai International Marine Club from 1-5 March 2016 will feature the supremely seaworthy 77 Enclosed Flybridge, the stylish 3600 Sport Yacht and the timelessly classic Belize 54 Daybridge.
“Each distinctive design reflects Riviera’s hallmark ethos of excellence that has positioned them amongst the global leaders of their field.”
Riviera chairman and owner Rodney Longhurst says the team of 480 talented designers, engineers and master craftsmen at Riviera’s world-class facility on Australia’s Gold Coast continually strives to refine the easy-to-use technology and equipment, and the practical and hands-on operational design aspects, that make the joy of boating with Riviera a sheer pleasure.
77 Enclosed Flybridge - The largest and most luxurious Riviera ever
The palatial flagship of Riviera’s high-performance fleet, the 77 Enclosed Flybridge features a brilliant blend of luxury cruising and fishing capabilities with all the comforts of a world-class luxury resort.
The first three models of the distinctive 77 design are now being enjoyed by their fortunate Middle Eastern owners while the fourth is now in build at Riviera’s world-class production facility on Australia’s Gold Coast.
Complementing her sleek lines, sweeping sheer and sports-inspired targa, the 77 Enclosed has striking safety glass feature panels that visually link her contemporary, recessed hull windows to provide a sophisticated and stylish hull finish.
“Stepping aboard, you’ll appreciate the 77’s expansive 193.6 square-foot (17.99m2) cockpit, elegant 49.5 square-foot (22.59m2) mezzanine and four staterooms including full-beam master, along with four bathrooms and an optional, self-contained crew cabin,” says Mr Longhurst.
“The state-of-the-art, fully enclosed flybridge features a forward helm while an external rear tournament station on the rear deck ensures clear cockpit observation when docking, or when the fishing action is underway,” he says.
“An optional massive and lavish sun pad and casual dining/sitting area can be located on the foredeck, enhancing her luxury lifestyle and relaxation attributes even further.
“There is also upgraded air-conditioning throughout to cater to the extremely high temperatures in the Middle East and our owners also appreciate the fact that all exposed structural areas have undergone additional heat-curing treatments so they can withstand the harsh climactic conditions of the region.”
With an overall length of 81’2” (24.74m), a beam of 20’9” (6.32m) and featuring a fuel capacity of 2496 US gallons (9450L), the 77 Enclosed Flybridge is powered by twin MAN V12 shaft-drive engines (2 x 1900hp/1397kW) which, under full load, achieve a cruising range of 556 nautical miles at 26.4 knots with 10 per cent fuel reserve.
Riviera 3600 Sport Yacht: Functional and fashionable
The 3600 Sport Yacht epitomises easy living and an idyllic environment to share leisure time with family and friends.
“She has clean lines, an innovative lifestyle design, a rich interior, proven technology and a real emphasis on relaxed single-level entertaining,” says Mr Longhurst. “Of course all this is perfectly blended with Riviera’s legendary sea-keeping capabilities and always spirited performance.” The 3600 Sport Yacht features Riviera’s hallmark rear awning window between the cockpit and the stylish saloon and aft gourmet galley to create the ultimate indoor-outdoor experience.
“Accommodation for the Riviera 3600 consists of a master stateroom forward with a large island bed and an aft full-beam guest stateroom with a double and single bed, catering for up to five adults on the lower deck,” says Mr Longhurst.
“The 3600 Sport Yacht features easy joystick maneuverability which enables a skipper – either solo or with a novice crew – to simply push and twist the joystick in the required direction to make the yacht respond immediately, pivoting in place or tracking sideways into a berth that’s just long enough to fit the yacht.”
Powered by the IPS2-400 configuration with twin D4 engines (2 x 224kW/300hp) and pod-drive units, and under full load, the 3600 Sport Yacht design achieves a cruising range of 222 nautical miles at 29 knots with 10 per cent fuel reserve.
Belize 54 Daybridge: A totally new tradition in motor yachts
The distinctive Belize 54 Daybridge from Riviera is inspired by timeless design and incorporating Australian practicality and superior sea-keeping with the latest in technological innovation.
Her sophisticated styling, opulent interior, clever storage concepts and high-performance hull are key attributes that set Belize apart.
“The 54 Daybridge – with large tender garage under the cockpit as well as three staterooms and two bathrooms including full-beam master – has the ability to transfix an entire bay of modern craft when she glides in,” says Mr Longhurst.
“She was designed to cater for the growing affection for high-end luxury motor yachts that boast an nostalgic design, blending traditional elegance with the latest in marine technology.”
The Belize 54 Daybridge now offers owners the choice of twin Cummins Zeus 600 (2 x 442kW/600hp) engines and pod-drive units, Volvo Penta’s IPS2-800 with twin D11 engines and pod-drive units (2 x 460kW/626hp) or IPS2-950 with twin D11 engines and pod-drive units (2 x 533kW/725hp).
Each Belize 54 Daybridge propulsion option offers innovative glass bridge navigation and monitoring features as well as three joysticks – at the main helm, at the daybridge helm and in the cockpit on the port-side.
With the IPS2-950 power package, the 54 Daybridge achieves a cruising range of 337 nautical miles at 29.1 knots, under full load and with 10 per cent fuel reserve.
World-leader in innovation
Mr Longhurst says visitors to Riviera’s Dubai display will also be able to inspect the plans for the first model in the new Sports Motor Yacht collection – the new 67 design – which is scheduled to make her World Premiere in 2017.
“The new 67 Sports Motor Yacht is a refreshingly astute design with sports performance and spacious cockpit that appeals to experienced luxury motor yacht owners who desire to take their boating further afield whilst still being able to fish effectively,” he says.
“This impressive new design offers fantastic interior flexibility and a wide array of luxury lifestyle features, as well a fully flexible accommodation plan with a choice of three or four staterooms and four bathrooms, including full-beam master stateroom with private ensuite.
“There are options for a gym, teenager’s retreat, crew quarters or dedicated sporting equipment stowage, depending on specific owner requirements and preferences.
“Riviera’s built-to-last philosophy, coupled with our genuine desire to make boating easier and completely fun for both experienced boaters and those wishing to enter the boating life, is what we like to call: ‘the ultimate boating experience’.”
