Multiple Premieres for Riviera at Gold Coast International Marine Expo

Australia’s most awarded motor yacht builder Riviera will proudly showcase 12 of its latest luxury designs when it rolls out the red carpet to welcome visitors to the 2016 Gold Coast International Marine Expo in May.

The stunning multi-million dollar display – to be staged right in the heart of the Expo and the 2016 Riviera Festival of Boating at Coomera from 19-22 May 2016 – will include the exclusive World Premiere of the newest addition to the growing SUV collection of luxury motor yachts, the impressive new 575.

For the first time in Australia, the highly anticipated new Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht will be exclusively on display after her acclaimed World Premiere at Yachts Miami Beach in Florida in February.

For the first time in Queensland, Riviera’s supremely seaworthy 57 Enclosed Flybridge will be presented for her exclusive Premiere at Coomera.

The impressive display from Australia’s 2015 Marine Industry Exporter of the Year will also comprise the true blue-water 52 Enclosed, 43 Open and 45 Open Flybridge designs, the stylish 6000 Sport Yacht in both its luxurious four-stateroom and presidential accommodation layouts, the sleek 3600 Sport Yacht, the sporty and adventurous 445 SUV and 525 SUV models as well as the 54 Daybridge from Riviera’s timeless Belize Motor Yacht collection.

Riviera chairman and owner Rodney Longhurst said the continuous refinement and premium quality of all Riviera luxury motor yachts at the undercover Riviera Marina must be seen to be fully appreciated.

He also confirmed Riviera will announce its next new model exclusively at the Expo and Riviera Festival.

“The Riviera team is driven every day to enhance the fun and enjoyment of our growing global family of discerning luxury motor yacht owners,” said Mr Longhurst.

“Our talented team of 480 people continually strives to create the most beautiful, practical and durable motor yachts possible. Our commitment to refining the easy-to-use technology and equipment, and the practical design aspects, of our luxury motor yachts to ensure the joy of boating with Riviera is always a pleasure.”

World Premiere

The new Riviera 575 SUV

Riviera chief executive Wes Moxey said the sporty and adventurous SUV series is the perfect pairing of two legendary designs, each with its own formidable pedigree.

“The SUV collection is opening a whole new world of boating enjoyment for both the avid angler and cruising entertainer,” he said.

The distinctive new 575 SUV design will feature a new alfresco cockpit layout, open saloon, three luxurious staterooms including full-beam master stateroom, two bathrooms and a sports-inspired helm.

“Riviera’s dedicated design team has also integrated the full suite of state-of-the-art, easy-to-use and dependable marine systems into the new 575 SUV, including the full features of the very latest intuitive marine navigation and digital switching systems,” said Mr Moxey.

“The Riviera 575 SUV allows for owners to select their personal preference of either pod or conventional shaft drive propulsion to suit their specific geographic regions.”

There are four choices for a drive package for new the 575 SUV:

Pod drive

-IPS2-950 (533kW/725hp x 2) with D11 engines

-IPS3-1200 (662kW/900hp x 2) with D13 engines

Shaft drive

-Volvo Penta D13 Series (662kW/900hp x 2)

-CAT C12.9 (735kW/1000hp x 2).

“The SUV series combines the high-performance, blue-water cruising and fish-raising abilities of the classic Riviera Flybridge collection, and the single-level, leisurely entertaining features of the very popular Sport Yacht design,” said Mr Moxey.

“The growing family of Riviera SUV owners often remark that it’s a lot like having two boats … in one.”

Australian Premiere

The new Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht

Following her World Premiere at Yachts Miami Beach in February, the 5400 Sport Yacht has been acclaimed as setting a new standard for luxury single-level living, cruising and entertaining yachts in her class.

Mr Moxey said the new 5400 is strikingly spacious and brimming with features that enhance the time afloat of her owners.

“Even before you step aboard you will notice that the award-winning Riviera team has created an entirely fresh design with a sleek new profile along with stylish hull windows and portholes, recessed for enhanced protection and aesthetic appeal,” he said.

“The 5400 genuinely abounds with internal space and volume throughout her massive entertainer’s cockpit, her luxurious saloon and all the way through to the three-stateroom/two-bathroom accommodation deck where a full-beam master stateroom serves as a private retreat for owners.”

The 5400 Sport Yacht has a sports-inspired centreline helm and is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS2-800 pod-drives and D11 engines (2 x 626hp/441kW), with optional IPS2-950 twin pod-drives and D11 engines (2 x 725hp/533kW).

Joysticks at the helm and in the cockpit enable a skipper, either solo or with a notice crew, to be able to easily maneuver the yacht by simply pushing and twisting the joystick to make the yacht respond immediately, pivoting in place or tracking sideways into a tight berth.

Queensland Premiere

The new 57 Enclosed Flybridge

The three- stateroom/two-bathroom Riviera 57 Enclosed Flybridge – fully enclosed on four sides of the flybridge, with full-beam master stateroom on the accommodation level and a brand-new cockpit and mezzanine design – is a stylish and true blue-water yacht.

“The 57 Enclosed Flybridge is the embodiment of innovation, from her fresh-thinking design to her state-of-the-art navigation systems, and right through to her final fit-out and luxuriously polished finish,” said Mr Moxey. “Her inspiring new cockpit and mezzanine layout creates an entirely new indoor/outdoor living experience that takes flybridge yacht design to another level.”

Standard propulsion in the 57 Enclosed Flybridge is via twin IPS3-1200 pod drives with D13 engines (2 x 662kw/900hp) with three joystick controls. There are two engine options available for this model – twin IPS2-950 (2 x 533kW/725hp) pod drives with D11 engines (also with three joysticks) or the new CAT C12.9 (2 x 735kW/1000hp) engines and shaft drives with bow thruster and optional Express Joystick System.

All propulsion options for the Riviera 57 offer innovative touchscreen navigation and CZone digital switching systems.

Riviera’s 2016 festival of fun and learning

Record numbers of registrations are being received for the 2016 Riviera Festival Boating from 19-22 May 2016.

With a greater focus than ever before on broadening the boating knowledge and skills of luxury motor yacht owners, the 2016 Festival includes 17 brand-new, informative and very hands-on workshops created to build boating safety and confidence.

This is in addition to fully refreshed formats for a host of popular workshops to be delivered over the four action-packed days of the Festival, providing in-depth training in specific areas of nautical interest.

“The Riviera Festival of Boating is open to all luxury motor yacht owners, and aspiring owners,” said Mr Longhurst.

“It doesn’t matter if you are brand-new to luxury motor yacht ownership or you have been boating all your life, even the most experienced offshore skipper will discover something new and informative at this year’s Riviera Festival of Boating,” he said.

“Of course, the Festival is just as much about fun and celebration as it is about education and showcasing our latest designs and we invite luxury motor yacht owners to a special Festival Friday Fashion & Fine Food Ladies Luncheon at Marina Mirage and Fellini Restorante e Bar, as well as our Saturday night Viva Las Riviera gala cocktail marina party, that will be followed by a spectacular dinner show to be attended by over 500 guests in a special section of the Riviera factory that promises to, as always, be something truly memorable.”

Registration for the Festival’s educational workshops and social events is essential, and places are limited. Please visit FestivalofBoating.com or contact your nearest Riviera and Belize dealer for further information.
